Media
Word of Faith, now Discovery Church International was our first media team
experience as a father and son team. That is where he first discovered his
love of media. Looking back I recall that we used to stand on a big wooden
box in the back of the church and record on a VHS, dinosaur of a video
camera. We also used to take still photos of the service and use them for
various in a house promotions. I remember that Mr. Leon was our media
director. He was very gracious and gave us a lot of latitude to be creative
with what we were doing then. It was very much Mr. Leon’s graciousness and
the latitude that he afforded us that allowed us to develop our skillset and
creativity.
Bryan of course came along long way in the field of videography and film.
Another place that we work together as a father and son team was Gospel
Fellowship Outreach Worship center in Twentynine Palms California, we also
took turns recording the service.
We gained a lot of experience and growth at United International Christian
Faith Center in Okinawa Japan. That is where Bryan really blossomed has a
videographer. He did both video camera work, editing, post production and
audio work there that led into the video work at Believers Life Family
Church in Gretna Louisiana. At United International Christian Faith Center,
we both had a technical mentor, Mr. Midas. Midas was very technically savvy
and had a passion for Christian media. We also had a leader in, then
Minister Jeff Little who was a mentor to both Bryan and I. Minister Little
of course was called to preach and also had a passion for media and a great
sense of excellence in his life and the media ministry. Again, he was a
creative and technical mentor as well as a spiritual accountability partner
to both Bryan and I.

Lonely Eskimo and TDR
Bryan absolutely loved Lonely Eskimo Productions, I mentioned to George, the
creative lead, a couple of times after meeting him that Bryan talked so much
about LEP (Lonely Eskimo Productions) and about George that I felt like I
knew each one of the team members and particularly George in person, even
though I only met them after Bryan's passing. I really admire the
creativity, the passion and the professionalism of the young people that
make up LEP or has George calls him them, the Eskimos. I expect great things
out of them in the near and distant future. I can’t express how very proud
that Bryan was of being an Eskimo.

Our family is ever indebted to the Loney Eskimos for putting together the
tribute video at Bryan's memorial. It was very touching and funny at the
same time. That video speaks to the creativity of the team. To the Eskimos,
thank you guys, continue doing great things. There is no limit to what you
guys can do I expect to see your names on a feature motion picture and on a
mainstream awards show in the future. How about the ‘Oscars’?...

During his time at LSU, Bryan worked for The Daily Reveille (TDR) which was
the university’s newspaper and media outlet. He spent countless hours
working on stories and projects for the Reveille. I was almost certain that
when he graduated that he was going to stay on the staff there at the
Reveille. He loved what he was doing and he was expanding his horizon from
film studies and videography to journalism as a whole to include a level of
management of the website. I think his time at The Reveille was an
incentive to him going out and starting his amateur photography. Just like
Lonely Eskimo I admire the professionalism the creativity and the passion
that the young people at the reveille have. Bryan loved being an LSU tiger
and working with the Reveille.
A very special thanks to the staff of the TDR for giving us a framed article
of TDR remembering Bryan. Additionally they gave us a tree (FACT CHECK
TYPE) that we’ve planted and Westlawn Memorial Park in Bryan’s honor. We’re
humbled by their caring spirit and generosity and in great admiration of
their professionalism and dedication to their craft.
Bryan, or the Maestro as I often called him, often had conversations about media and comparison of the media ministries between Believer's Life Family
Church and Jesse Duplantis ministries. Bryan, of course really loved and was
very proud of working for Dr. Duplantis. As I said in the memorial Bryan
used always tell me Brother Jesse stories. Bryan was amazed at how ‘down to earth’ and personable Dr. Duplantis was considering his level of spiritual
and earthly success.
Story of Pastor Randy telling me about inheriting Bryan's anointing. Bryan's many in person and over the phone 'How To' sessions...
