An Optimistic Sky | The Story of Bryan William Stewart
WHY AM I PROUD OF BRYAN?
- He accepted the responsibility at an early age to honor his creator
in his youth. Bryan learned the value of ministry serving and accepted
early on the obligation to, as Pastor Barak Cilluffo has coined the phrase
‘invest his Time Talent and Treasure’ in eternal things. Bryan was, from
the age of about ten, involved in media departments in various churches that
we attended as we were transferred from duty station to duty station around
the world. He both learned and fell in love with the craft of videography.
His crowning achievement was to be a member of the media team of Jesse
Duplantis Ministries. Bryan worked with the media department of JDM, which
is an international television ministry that broadcasts the gospel to
millions of individuals each week. Bryan served as both a camera operator
and video editor.
He shared many stories of video shoots with ‘Brother Jesse’ and Mrs. Cathy.
His loved his time with the media team grew as a media professional and as a
man.

INTERVIEW IN HOLLYWOOD
Bryan was a kind soul. I can say without hesitation that I have never seen
him upset to any degree. He got his kind and gentle spirit from his mom. I
clearly recall on tens, if not hundreds of occasions, Bryan telling me to
‘calm down dad’, it’ll be ok dad’, ‘don’t worry about that dad’… In a very
real way, he served as a confidante and certainly a sanity check for me on
many, many issues that are important to me. We certainly shared the passion
for media ministry and often compared notes. He often provided technical
mentoring to both myself and other Media Team members at Believer’s Life
Family Church.
I recall several ‘Editing 101’ classes that the Maestro would give me on a
Saturday afternoon. I am the video editor for Believer’s Life and I really
love doing what I do but I’d always tell Bryan that I could not call what I
did ‘editing’ in his presence or in comparison to his capabilities.
Bryan was very artistic and had an appreciation for the art and the culture
that is New Orleans.
